Perhaps the Queen was tempted to try something different given that she’s an ardent fan of Sézane’s other pieces: in May, she stepped out in an elegant, pale beige two-piece recently to host several meetings at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. She also owns a burgundy suit from the brand, which she wore for an engagement just before Christmas in 2024, teamed with nude accessories.
The Princess of Wales is known to be fond of Sézane too, which is a key part of both her personal and professional wardrobes – in the past, she has worn a blue patterned dress by the label for a charity polo match, a cream knitted ensemble for an engagement in Nottingham, and grey trousers for a visit to a community hub in Bracknell. She also owns at least seven pairs of Sézane earrings, which sit alongside the grandest of state gems in her jewellery box.
As some of the most important royals globally, these two seasoned professionals clearly know that clothes are powerful – and nothing gives confidence quite like a crisp shirt, a great pair of trousers and trusting in a reliable brand. As Kate and Letizia have proved, it’s a formula that produces some seriously smart results.
