In a rage, Greg Gutfeld completely dismisses the assassination of Melissa Hortman, calls it a “bull shit” example of political violence

    1. He looks and sounds like a 6-year-old throwing a tantrum. But then again, 6-year-olds act more mature than this.

Good lord, the temper tantrums these people throw…it’s scary to know that literal children are at the forefront of the media and government.

    3. He’s right about one thing, the “both sides” narrative doesn’t hold merit. The majority of political homicides are comitted by right-wing extremists, far surpassing left-wing.

[Here](https://web.archive.org/web/20250911012550/https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/what-nij-research-tells-us-about-domestic-terrorism) is an Internet Archive link to a DOJ study showing that, which the administration scrubbed on September 12th because they realized the facts don’t align with the narrative they want to spin.

    4. I mean, it goes without saying but Gutfeld is lying here (as per). Boelter, a radicalised MAGA supporter, killed Hortman and her husband because they were “pro-abortion”. The link Gutfeld is forcing here is due to Boelter also shooting State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, who he happened to, very briefly, be on the same state workforce development board with. What he neglects to mention is Boelter had an assassination list filled with other democrats including Walz and Ilhan Omar. He was also going to shoot up a Planned Parenthood.

Also regarding the Shapiro arsonist, Cody Balmer, Gutfeld also calls him “pro-Palestinian” but neglects to mention he was severely mentally ill and “off his meds” (according to his mother). Oh, and per Mehdi Hasan, he was a registered Trump voter.

But he chooses to lie about these events in order to paint Trump’s bullshit narrative because he’s a slave to MAGA.

    5. He wants to claim the left is violent and hostile but then screams and curses towards a coworker? Sounds like a great way to make a point lol. Him and Brian should both be fired for these sort of comments but we know Fox would never.

    6. Wow, this guy is unhinged.

Didn’t someone who said something even less offensive about Kirk get fired from MSNBC?

Conservatives are actually stupid…like I think sone of them are intentionally evil but a guy like this genuinely believes what he’s saying is a legit argument. I can’t 🤣 this is ridiculous.

    8. I like the “we don’t have cognitive dissonance on our side” because he’s admitting that the right is violent and also doesn’t even claim to be be against violence.

republicans will really look you in the eye and go “it doesn’t count if the violence happens to someone I don’t like,” because they have full-on antisocial personality disorder.

    10. Get this pos fire right now. This made me physically ill hearing that garbage come out of his mouth.

    11. Just so, so dumb

Bullshit is the beatifying of a podcaster while an actual political lawmaker was murdered

    12. No bad news about her because she wasn’t a racist prick like CK was. She was an elected official who got zero respect death. Fuck this dude

    13. These fuckups get so twisted up over perceived lack of empathy toward Kirk and yet they act like this?? Fuck them.

    14. I had no idea who Charlie Kirk was until he died. And if anything it goes to show we glorify some internet political personality more than we notice actual members of our House of Representatives—The people who actually play a real role in our government and can affect our lives as citizens. Instead we want to glorify and praise some man who loved to get clicks and hear himself spew hate. It’s so twisted. Who even was Charlie Kirk? Mostly someone who helped divide the country. At least the woman who lost her life played a real role in our government.

    15. When is the culture going to move on from people like this. How can they not see the toxicity. This isn’t some game, they’re dabbling in some dark shit that is starting to spin out of their control

    16. I truly don’t get it. They have complete power over all 3 branches, but they are still angry. Just STFU and get on with your happy lives.

He’s scared because Kirk was a fellow circus clown like him, and lashing out because Kirk is one of his own. The Hortmans are just not given the same consideration, they’re “them”, versus Kirk who is “us”

    18. People who engage in hate speech (like CK’s killer) should not have access to firearms. Period. Whether they’re left, right, or center.

We’re not celebrating CK’s death and saying “this is a good reason not to have gun control, because someone we disliked died!” No. We are saying “he was a horrible man but his murder is another reason why we need reformed gun regulations.”

Was CK a victim of the violence he stirred up? Yes, and that is why I lack any sympathy for him. Do we still need better gun control? Also yes.
