Erin Bates Has Lost Function in Her Right Leg After Sepsis Battle | E! News

Aaron Bates shares that she’s lost function in her right leg after battling sepsis. The Bringing Up Bates alum has been in a health battle after suffering complications following the birth of her and husband Chad Payne’s seventh baby, Henry. She writes on her joint Instagram account with Chad, “We don’t have all the answers yet, and I still don’t have function in my right leg, but we are choosing to count every blessing, especially the gift of being together again.” The 34year-old adds, “Your prayers have carried us through and mean the world to our family.” Aaron’s update, which includes several photos, including one of Chad pushing her in a wheelchair with Henry in her arms, comes nearly 2 weeks after he revealed that she had suffered a quote lengthy and severe seizure and was admitted to the ICU after developing a severe UTI and kidney infection, which sent her into septic shock shortly after giving birth. Chad wrote on Instagram September 4th, “As her husband, it is one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced to sit by her side and watch her struggle while being so helpless to ease her suffering. I love her more deeply than words can express, and I can’t even imagine life without my best friend. [Music]
