The statement continues, “Her thoughts and prayers will be with the Duke of Kent and all the family. In the Queen’s absence, King Charles III led the royal family at the funeral service with family members like Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Anne, and Prince Andrew all in attendance. On September 4th, the royal family shares that the Duchess of Ken died peacefully while surrounded by family members. They write in a September 5th statement on X. It is with deep sorrow that Buckingham Palace announces the death of her royal highness, the Duchess of Kent.
