As a millennial with access to TCM, I remember being in high school and watching The Sting and thinking “Oh, this is a man. If I could post a million pictures of Robert Redford in his prime I probably would. But I don’t have time so I’m focusing on peak Redford films of the 60s-70s.
In no order of his filmography whatsoever
1: The Three Days of Condor
2-5: The Way We Were (with Barbra Streisand)
6-7: The Great Waldo Pepper (with Susan Sarandon)
8-10: The Great Gatsby (with Mia Farrow)
11-12: Barefoot in the Park (with Jane Fonda)
13: Jeremiah Johnson
14-15: The Sting (with Paul Newman)
16-17: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (with Paul Newman)
18: All the Presidents Men (with Dustin Hoffman)

What a legend. Both him and Paul Newman were also firm in their dedication to civil rights for Black Americans, Native Americans and LGBTQ+ communities.
Now THAT is allyship. Rest well, Mr. Redford.
Three Days is my 1 slot but ATPM is a watch every time I find it on movie.
When my mom heard about the news, she recounted a story about how one of the first guys she ever went out with was on a blind date, agreeing only because her friend said, “he looks like Robert Redford”.
There is a whole a lot of man on that man. RIP.

Barefoot in the Park is such a comfort movie for me. ❤️
I remember reading in Rolling Stone (i think) in the ’70’s about what a nice fellow he was and i’ve thought warmly of him ever since.
Him and Paul Newman were two of the finest white men ever
RIP Legend.
My mom has been rewatching *The Way We Were* all day.
