The power dynamic could not be more stark for Prince Harry during Donald Trump’s historic second state visit to the UK this week.
While Trump is expected to receive the full Royal treatment with elaborate ceremony and pageantry as he’s welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince Harry will be completely absent from all official events.
During Trump’s initial state visit in 2019, Prince Harry found himself caught in an uncomfortable position, with his wife Meghan and Trump clearly at loggerheads. This news emerges as Prince Harry’s 11 biggest moments as he celebrates his 41st birthday. While touring artifacts in the Buckingham Palace Picture Gallery, Harry appeared to go out of his way to avoid the American president.

Trump and First Lady Melania examined the precious items during the opening day of their British state visit.

Meanwhile, Harry remained in the background, appearing visibly uncomfortable.
This awkward interaction came after Trump had branded Meghan as “nasty” following her description of him as “divisive” and “misogynistic” during his 2016 presidential race.
A witness present at the gallery observed:
“Prince Harry certainly appeared to keep his distance from the president and the First Lady, during the walk round of the royal collection.”, reports the Mirror.
“He stayed at the back of the room for the entire time.
“Rocking back on his heels looking totally uninterested.”
Nevertheless, palace officials insisted that the viewing was “not a structured procedure”.
Meghan managed to avoid an awkward encounter with Trump, having just given birth to her and Harry’s first child, Archie, only four weeks earlier.
The Prince did attend a lunch with the President and his entourage before the gallery trip.
However, he was noticeably missing from a lavish banquet for Trump at the Palace later.
