They made me feel like I was safe, like I was on solid ground. Looks like summer is officially over. After three seasons of love, loss, and memories, The Summer I Turned Pretty came to an end September 17th. And unfortunately for fans, the series won’t be returning. Author and exec producer and director of the series, Jenny Han, tells Entertainment Weekly in a May chat, quote, “We needed more canvas for the story, so that’s how we ended up with 11 episodes.” But yeah, three books, three seasons, it feels right to me. By the series finale, Belly Conkland was thankfully no longer on the other end of a very complicated love triangle with brothers Conrad and Jeremiah that spanned a trilogy. The summer I turned pretty. It’s not summer without you and will always have summer. When I’m with J, everything is easier. But everywhere I go, there’s a memory of Conrad. Taking place over almost a decade with a 4-year time jump during the season 3 premiere and an approximately year skip during the 10th episode. Belly found herself in a short but passionate relationship with Conrad before she dated and got engaged to Jeremiah. I see the way he looks at you. He doesn’t matter. This is you and me. Jenny tells EW in a September interview, quote, there’s so much that is going to surprise fans about how much we’re showing of Belly in Paris and the whole ending. It’s not just an epilogue. She adds, quote, I keep adding more and more to the last scripts the longer I was in Paris because I kept thinking of more that needed to be included. There’s just so much to living on your own for the first time in a foreign place, and that’s important for Belly as she’s growing up. [Music]

My wife got me into this show and I’m not ashamed 😂
I hated all the Paris stuff, it felt like another show, as the rest of the cast were virtually cut.
It didn't properly…
It was awesome. I wish they included Belly & Conrad's wedding, babies. etc. Maybe 1 more series on seeing a wedding. Thanks
Am i the only one whose frustrated with the ending? Like THATS IT?! I knew shed pick conrad based on the book & im glad she did end up with conrad but i hoped the show would have shown us more about their relationship together, their wedding? Do they stay happy together? Do they have kids? Instead the show ends like the book basically “belly picks conrad the end”
I feel like the show wasted so much time in paris like 3 episodes of filler episodes that didn’t matter that much & the finale was rushed to fit everything together & basically just ends with “belly picked conrad the end” i wish they showed more of their relationship together, maybe showed their wedding or just showed us a full episode of them finally being happy together
They wasted so many episodes in Paris with filler storylines that werent that important the finale was trying to shove everything in at the last moment so alot of important moments that happened in the books were completely ignored in the finale episode bc they ran out of time
The note at the end said Maybe will meet again One Summer in Cousins. Until then…
