The real issue they take is that these hosts are allowed to criticize the head of state at all.

He seems to be speaking out more lately. He also commented on Kirk and some of the comments he’s made. (Some people were mad that Obama framed this as “disagreements” but I think it’s clear to me his tone was intentionally aiming to respectfully highlight the garbage Kirk has said, including about Obama’s own wife.)
Everything that’s happening right now is scary, but it’s even scarier when you remember that we’re only nine months into this presidency.
Things are going to accelerate. They already are. What is this country going to look like in another year, to say nothing of how it will look in four years?

Why are people not calling for a boycott of ABC? Really, we should all be canceling our cable plans for internet only, to show them that we don’t want whatever president-approved media they want to feed us
Obviously everything going on right now is quite evil and fascist, but all of these neoliberals crying about free speech now when it’s Trump silencing other milquetoast white liberal celebrities were quite fine with college kids protesting genocide being violently silenced by the police. Or, if something like Melissa Barrera’s firing had happened because of the Biden admin and not just zionists silencing pro palestine voices, it wouldn’t have changed anything for how these people reacted. Obama wouldn’t have been posting about it for sure.
Actors and comedians need to start boycotting these companies and not work for them. I don’t understand why this hasn’t already started?!! Oh yea greed.

You control the message and you essentially control thoughts, ideas, and one’s sense of reality.
Suppression of science, history, the humanities, arts, culture, free speech and independent press, leaves you with an electorate that has nothing to facilitate informed decision making.
Combined with media silos/algos, age/generation gaps, and a shrinking cultural memory, this is a brainwashing campaign
It freaks me out that young people right now, who are growing up in this chaos, are gonna start thinking all this is normal. It’s not normal. It doesn’t have to be like this.
