Kali Uchis is making it clear she wants no ties to D4vd in light of shocking news surrounding the R&B singer.

On Tuesday (Sept. 16), the singer revealed that their collaborative effort “Crashing” is in the process of being removed from digital streaming platforms amid the disturbing reports. The joint track appeared on D4vd’s debut studio album Withered and was accompanied by a music video.

After a fan referred to D4vd as Uchis’ “friend’ in a comment, she responded, “Not my friend, I did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given today’s disturbing news.” When another fan questioned the move, she doubled down. “It’s ok bb people like her are why women always get blamed for the things men do lol, the internalized misogyny of this world I suppose,” she replied.

Authorities confirmed the dismembered body of 15-year-old as Celeste Rivas, who was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd, neé David Anthony Burke.

While police have not officially named Burke as a suspect, TMZ reported that Rivas and Burke shared matching “Shhh…” tattoos on their right index fingers.

Alleged past photos of the two have also surfaced, amongst eerie song lyrics that not only name Celeste, but also give details of a “romantic homicide.”

The outlet also noted that Rivas’ mother previously said her daughter, who was first reported missing in April 2024, was dating someone named David. Hours after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the body as Rivas,’ Burke abruptly canceled his scheduled show in Seattle.

Per sources, authorities discovered Rivas’ remains after a foul odor was reported coming from the Tesla, which had been parked at a tow yard in the Hollywood Hills. “On 9/8/25 around 12:20 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard,” a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson previously told Complex via email.

“Detectives responded and located possible human remains. It is currently a death investigation,” they declared.
