Bruce Willis’ family, particularly wife Emma Heming Willis, is in a “panic” over the pressure of managing his $250 million fortune, a source tells Examiner.

“Taking care of Bruce isn’t just making sure he can physically get through the day, it also involves looking after his finances,” a source says of the actor, who is suffering from frontotemporal dementia.

And while his family — including daughter Scout, who shared a new photo of Bruce with her and her sister Tallulah on Instagram on Wednesday, September 17 — has been “keeping up his spirits,” most of the decisions regarding the former A-lister’s money are now made by Emma.

“It’s a full-time job and she feels immense responsibility not to squander his wealth,” says the source, noting that Emma, 47, feels a duty to take care of both her daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, but Bruce’s grown kids as well.

The Die Hard star’s ex, Demi Moore, who shares daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, with Bruce, “has been supportive,” the source explains, “but she’s way too busy with her career renaissance right now to go into the weeds with Emma about this stuff.”

“In other words, Demi trusts Emma with this stuff maybe more than even Emma does,” the source says.

The added responsibility is weighing heavily on Emma, who has also had to make difficult decisions about his care, which involved moving him into a different home.

“She is having to learn all of this stuff as she goes, and it’s no wonder she seems to be carrying around a huge burden on her back that goes way beyond Bruce’s health right now,” the source adds. “Emma needs more simplicity in her life, not less.”
