Used to watch Will & Grace as a background comfort show but now that I know how hateful and dangerous Debra Messing is, I can’t watch it.

Neil Gaimen’s books and comics. Not going to look up to or be inspired by famous men anymore…

    2. It’s a bit easier because she’s a voice actor and thus I don’t have to look at her but a lot of animated shows I loved as a kid are tainted knowing that Tara Strong, despite being a talented voice actor, is also an unhinged Zionist who has spread gross Islamophobic posts on social media, is loudly anti-vaxx and even as a person, is apparently very rude to fans.

    3. Had to delete all my Melanie Martinez songs off my ipod when i found out she was a rapist.

And god knows I’m never gonna be able to enjoy Coraline or Stardust the way i used to.

Off topic, I’ve never watched Will and Grace but I saw Sean Hayes in the play Good Night Oscar recently and he is just a sensational actor and pianist. I hope he does more theatre!

    5. I loved Radiohead, and owned all their albums, but finding out Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood were bending over themselves to both-sides a genocide makes me wince at the thought of ever listening to them again.

So many comfort shows have become a source of ick now that so many of their creators or stars have shown their vile Zionism. A very non exhaustive list: The Nanny, Gilmore Girls, Jane The Virgin, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Big Bang Theory, Stranger Things, Freaky Friday, The Good Wife…

2 bands off the top of my head, Lost Prophets and Disturbed. The second was a bigger loss.

Most, likely would hate to know how often I can separate the art from the artist. I think most celebrities are awful people and I’d have almost nothing left if I didn’t. I could read OG Harry Potter, even though I’d never buy anything new.

Some things…I just can’t. I feel too gross.

      Five for Fighting

I lost Will & Grace before I knew Messing was a pos. They used the ‘Ellen coming out over airport pa’ bit to announce Karen’s heterosexuality, despite the fact that Karen had *always* been bisexual. It ruined the entire show for me.

I can’t watch Coraline even to enjoy the incredible work of the people at Laika ever since the stuff came out about Neil Gaiman. Seeing all the merchandise being produced for its anniversary has been so frustratingly sad. See also Good Omens, The Sandman, Stardust (my childhood fave!!!) etc.

My kids were watching tv the other day and I overheard them saying that all the shows that Dan Schneider makes all the good shows. I had to really bite my tongue

    12. When I read how she uses her support for the LGBT to help support her awful position on Gaza, I remember how much $ she’s made because of the gay community.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Is Jason Segel the only actor in the main cast who hasn’t figuratively shit the bed in some way?

    14. “The Wedding Date”, one of my favorite romcoms. Unfortunately, Debra Messing is the lead. Fortunately, there is plenty other films and shows to watch Dermot Mulroney in.

    15. I was most of the way through my first watch of Will and Grace before I realized what a notjob Grace was. I was already out of the original show and pretty far into the reboot. I loved it a lot and I’m never gonna know how it ends. Or watch it again. Just a shame since I would say it did a good job with a lot of the subjects it tackled.
