I didn’t think my husband would want to cancel Disney+ because he watches a lot on it, but he asked me if I’d be ok with it and now it is canceled.

1. This is about the government threatening to take broadcasting licenses away by censoring speech which is against the First Amendment.
2. We can say what happened to Kirk was not okay. At the same time, not everyone has to feel empathy for a bigot. He spread bigotry about numerous groups of people in the name of politics & religion which is not an excuse. Good people do not spread bigotry. Bigotry is bigotry. Period.
If people (small retail buyers) start selling Disney stock because of what happened to Kimmel it will send a clear message and having a real affect. Tank the Stock.

The most surprising thing about all of this is learning just how many people actually pay for media, y’all don’t just torrent everything?
I canceled mine. It seems silly and a small thing but it’s literally all I can think to do to show them anything.

Disney has a long history of flirting with fascism. Reading about Walt Disney’s Nazi friend was interesting, for instance. This company has been playing both sides for a while lately but their roots are discriminatory and fascist. Didn’t Meryl Streep call that out once too?
Does anybody bother to even fact check these things? Disney is barely down 2% in the last five days, or 3% for the month. It’s sad to see so many people fall for these articles.
I dont intend to re-subscribe to Disney ever again! I thank them for the push i needed to cancel and save some moola.
