    1. He was (imo/iirc) one of the most vocal directors in support of the [wga/sag-aftra strike ](https://deadline.com/2023/07/oppenheimer-director-christopher-nolan-absolutely-not-work-another-film-until-strikes-end-1235439112/)so I think this could hopefully be good for the dga, especially considering how quickly they settled their own contract when they could have joined the other striking workers for a more long term effort. The oppenheimer actors walking off the promotion efforts to go make signs was one of the really early moments in the strike that I felt was very impactful, and he was in full support of his cast.

      It’s funny how he seems to be a genuine pro labour and collective bargaining guy irl but his movies are almost always about a maverick white dude breaking all the rules and saving the world with their individual genius. Like his Batman movies are bangers but it is very fascist coded. Especially Dark knight rises.
