Priscilla Presley Addresses Conspiracy Theories That Elvis Presley Is “Alive”

Priscilla Presley is setting the record straight on those Elvis Presley conspiracy theories. During an interview with People magazine, the ex-wife of the rock and roll legend addresses the ongoing theory that Elvis is actually still alive and that he faked his death to escape fame, telling the outlet, “There’s been so much that’s untruthful out there. Things like Elvis is still alive and hidden somewhere.” Before adding, “I wish he was still alive.” Priscilla and Elvis first met in West Germany in 1959 when she was 14 and he was 24. She was living there with her mother, stepfather, and five siblings while Elvis was serving in the US Army. And after he returned to the US, Priscilla would fly out to Memphis, Tennessee to visit before eventually moving in with him in 1963. She adds, of that time, quote, “I met him at such a young age, I didn’t have time to think about life yet. Even when dating him, I’d think, what am I going to do? What can I do? Other things happened and I loved every moment. The two later tied the knot in 1967, going on to welcome their only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, exactly 9 months later. Elvis and Priscilla called it quits years later, going on to finalize her divorce in 1973 when Lisa Marie was 5 years old. Priscilla previously told People magazine that she would visit Graceand with Lisa Marie. Quote, “Like we never divorced.” Elvis and I still hugged each other, still had love. We would say, “Mommy said this and daddy said that.” That helped Lisa to feel stable. And looking back decades later, Priscilla says, “I truly cherish the great times.
