Jennifer Aniston (great actress, very few risks, plays almost the same personality/character type, most of the time). I respect her hustle.
Sarah Jessica Parker (love SATC, but she’s not a risk taker and she’s “Carrie” in every single role).
Jennifer Lopez (same character, different script).
Stephen Segal (no elaboration).
Dwayne Johnson always plays himself.
Vin Diesel
Will Farrel (aside from a couple of standouts). He was typecast and I’m not sure it’s fair. Stranger Than Fiction was very touching.
Ice Cube (lol)
Gal Gadot is a soggy work in progress, we’ll see, not holding my breath.
Honorable mention to Pam Andersen, coming from behind and blowing us away these past few years! Hell yeah girl!

Please don’t kill me. Angelina Jolie. Not saying she’s not a talented actress and there are no good films, but there’s not really many great films.

Burnt is a great film. Because of Cooper.
The rest are not.

Jessica Chastain — she’s talented, seems like a nice person, but except for ‘Zero Dark Thirty,’ ‘Interstellar,’ and ‘The Martian,’ most of her movies are pretty mediocre.

Bradley Cooper only makes the A-list in the eyes of the folks who actually keep score of who’s on which list

Pedro Pascal. Newer A list though so it just makes sense. His TV resume is so very good while his film not as much. Although that might change next year with the two Oscar baity movies. But for now it’s a lotta bunch of “how did this get made” and “eh”.

Im a big fan of Famke Janssen. But she made many weird choices, not the indie movies but the wacky ones like Christian romance Redeeming Love, Japanese anime to live action Knights of the Zodiac and that movie with Bruce Willis and Momoa which must be a money laundering scheme dressed as a movie.

Do you mean underwhelming as is in we find the films underwhelming or underwhelming as in they performed poorly?

I think it’ll be easier to ask who doesn’t. Most of the actors today are underwhelming.

* Not sure if he’s A-list, but Adrien Brody. I think his two Oscar roles are phenomenal, and most everything else he’s done is okay at best. (His Wes Anderson stuff doesn’t really count, because those movies are generally good because of Anderson’s vision, not necessarily the cast…)
* Keanu Reeves. I know its an obvious answer, but when he is good, he is *so* good, which makes his duds that much more frustrating, imo

This is gonna piss people off, but Adrian Brody, there’s a reason a guy who’s never really done that many good movies was able to steal thin red line out from under him.

LOL I love that you used 12-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper as your example, and of the five performances you selected in the slideshow, he received acting nominations for 4 of them.

For the talent she has I would say Naomi Watts. She deserves better roles in better movies and shows like her friend Nicole Kidman.
