Whitney Leavitt gushes over husband Conner ‘stepping up’ to help her live out ‘DWTS’ dreams
Look, you absolutely crushed it tonight. Second week, you got some really great compliments. Let me say fire, nuclear power from the judges. What was it like receiving that feedback? I mean, it’s always nice because we put a lot of hard work and we put a lot of hard work in our tango. We put a lot of hard work into this. So, it’s very validating to hear comments like that. And you guys top the leaderboard with Robert and other Whitney. Mark, talk to us about the pressure that adds a little bit being this so early on in the season. Yeah, I mean, look, it it just depends how you look at it. You know, I’ve done this um a long time. For me, it’s it’s just about being consistent and handing in the best performance possible. I can tell you like when you also when you’re on the judges side, like some things are going to hit you like a ton of bricks and and and be like get you hype and sometimes maybe not. But the only thing that we can do is our best. Try and keep consistent. I try and keep the creativity going. Make sure the music selection is slapping. the band tonight were on fire with our song. So, yeah, like I I I try my best to like just look at every week as it comes and try not to like set myself up or my partner up for that type of things. But just um yeah, just doing our best. That’s that’s the goal. You know, the turtle, you just have to be the turtle. Can’t be the rabbit. So, yes. And Dancing with the Stars is all about family. Dancing with the Stars is all about family. I saw Connor in his shirt walking around here in the press line. I mean, you’ve posted some amazing things about him being such a good support system to you. What has it been like seeing him step up to the plate and help you live out your Dance to the Stars dreams? Conor’s always been that way. He’s always pushed me to go after what I want to do. And I tell him all the time, I wouldn’t be able to do it if it wasn’t for that support. So, I’m very blessed and very grateful. Yeah. And Mark, same for you. I mean, you’re getting a lot of support at home as well with the baby. Oh, yeah. Yeah. my wife is just everything and just the my backbone and biggest support system and um yeah, you know, I’ve been having my mornings with my son and we have it as a family and then we go to rehearsal. We work really hard and then I get to see him before he goes to bed. Um but yeah, just I can’t thank my wife and I’m the best. Next week we have the first ever Dancing with the Stars tick tock themed episode. We are all so excited, but we have no idea what to expect. So, what can you tell us? We don’t know. We’re all going to find out together. We’re all going to find out. Yeah, it’s going to be interesting. Yeah, I think it’s going to be great song selections. They they they blow up on TikTok for a reason. I think it’ll be familiar for the audience. Uh doing them in a ballroom context will be interesting. But we’re here for the creativity. We’re going to make it work. And lastly for you, Charlie is coming back. Just talk to us really quickly about how awesome it’s going to be for Tik Tok night. Of course. I mean, you know, queen of Tik Tok, dear friend, one of my one of my babies. I’m so excited to see her and um have her back out on the dance floor again. Charlie Charlie is a dear friend of mine and we’re very close and I’m excited to have her back here.
