William Shatner Speaks Out After Rumored Hospitalization | E! News

William Shatner is speaking out after rumors circulate he has been hospitalized. Multiple outlets report William was hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency. September 24th. Now the Star Trek actor is speaking out about the incident, writing on Instagram September 25th. I overindulged. I thank you all for caring, but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all don’t trust tloids or AI. And he added a winky face. The photo shows William in the series Murdoch Mysteries and the text over top that reads, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.” Enus has reached out to reps for William regarding his alleged emergency, but has not yet heard back. The 94year-old is impressively healthy and active for his age, but has been open with his health struggles for years. After filming an action-filled episode of Star Trek in 1960, William developed tonitis, a permanent ringing or whooshing in ears, which he previously said has gotten worse as he’s aged. And a struggle doesn’t get him down, saying, “Sometimes it’s really bad, but I know it’s not going to kill me.” And well into his 90s, William emphasizes he has no plans to slow down his career. After all, he continues to revive his Captain Kirk character, appearing as recently as 2024’s TV short film Kirk. [Music]
