Law & Order: SVU Showrunner Reveals Storyline Change for Season 27 | E! News
Will Benson and Stabler finally be together? Michelle Fazicus, who was a writer on Law and Order SVU for more than two decades before becoming its season 27 showrunner, to some changes for the upcoming season, and that it’ll be going back to its roots with Marisha Hargatee’s Olivia Benson, diving into a quote twisty kind of case, telling people in an interview September 24th, quote, “In some ways, I’m going back to when I was on the show, which was like seasons 3 through 7. I remember what we were doing then that worked well. It’s like, all right, we’re going to bring some of that back. This may include the return of SVU alum Christopher Maloney, whose Elliot Stabler character is now handling cases on the Law and Order organized crime spin-off. However, he and Dan Floric, who exited the show as Captain Donald Craig in 2015, were spotted on set and photos shared by Christopher in August. And while Benson and Stabler’s relationship was strictly platonic during Christopher’s 12 season run on SBU, Marishka wouldn’t mind seeing the two detectives eventually become a couple, telling Alex Cooper in a July episode of Call Her Daddy, quote, “Maybe on the last episode.
