Melissa’s been championing Palestine’s rights since day one.
Reminds me of that clip of Huda saying that Eva Longoria had tried to reach out to her since they fell out over Palestine and then her and the interviewer cut off to talk about something else and I was like ‘I hope she didn’t forgive her’.
She is so real. I hope more hollywood people support her now – not through empty words but through actions. I remember Jenna Ortega was one of the only high profile celeb who publicly supported Melissa a couple of years ago by pulling out of the Scream movie.
While I sincerely appreciate and understand the urge to tell these latecomers to fuck themselves and they’re too late, what incentive is there, if they’re screwed either way?
While we may hold them to a higher level of scrutiny, do we want allies or not? We don’t have a time machine. We can forgive, without forgetting. Or, we can divide ourselves further.
