Why Jessica Chastain Went Back to School at 48 (Exclusive)

FBI on your knees. Jessica, you’re of course portraying a suburban mom by day and this undercover cyber agent by night, which sounds so ridiculous when you say it out loud, but it’s really based on a true woman. It’s based on a true story. People do this. I mean, I love this idea of a woman working behind the scenes keeping us safe, infiltrating these um online hate groups. Three days before The Savant was supposed to premiere on Apple TV Plus, it’s been postponed. The streamer did not give a reason, but it may be in light of recent current events. The series is based on the true life story that inspired an article in Cosmo titled, “Is it possible to stop a mass shooting before it happens? No new release date has been given.” I track people who are planning the text. My job is pretending to think like them. In real life, Jessica just went back to school at the age of 48. You’re enrolling in Harvard for a master’s program, right? in public administration. Jessica, I mean, I’m learning a lot about myself that I didn’t know. I love statistics. Can I just rewind for a second because I’m listening to you and I’m like, wait, you’re at Harvard? You know that. What can’t you You’re going to hold Hold on. Hold on. You’re going to Harvard. But first of all, you have to get into and then you have to do the work. Come on. This is Jessica and former NFL star turned actor Nom D Awa’s second project together. Next, she wants his wife Carrie Washington to join in. I have so much admiration and respect for her. I mean, getting Carrie and and Jessica together, I feel like I’d be proud to be a third wheel. Oh my gosh. I know. I really want you guys way back, too, right? This guy’s he’s a full-fledged movie star, which is so obnoxious to be like a successful football player and then become like a full-fledged movie star. I think we’re wrapped. I think that’s it.

ET’s Denny Directo chats with Jessica Chastain and Nnamdi Asomugha to discuss Jessica’s recent enrollment at Harvard and their new AppleTV+series, ‘The Savant.’
