How Bruce Springsteen’s Marriage Inspired Jeremy Allen White’s Biopic Role | E! News

I was very nervous. I was excited. I was nervous. I’ve been a fan of boozers for a long time. Um, but you know, I’d never sang. I never played the guitar before. And I think all that stuff was rattling around my head. And then uh and then I just know how beloved Bruce is and and rightfully so. And I know how many fans he has. And I think in the beginning I was concerning myself with what, you know, what are all these people going to think? Um, and I wanted to please them. Um and uh and so yeah, there was a lot of uh a lot of responsibility um in taking on taking on the role for sure. Musician 100%. I mean uh you know I did half a quarter or an eighth of the kind of like time that Bruce had on stage uh in this movie and um it is non stop. Uh it is uh it is exhausting. The singing is exhausting. When I recorded Born in the USA, I had a headache. I need to lie down. Um, it’s tough. Yeah, it’s it’s all actionable. It’s the way he lives his life. I remember going to his home in Freehold. Um, before we started filming and seeing the life that he has with Patty, uh, his home, how close he is to home. Um, I saw that he built the life that he wanted to build and I realized that’s what the movie is about, I think, is uh, is Bruce making the decisions that got him here, you know, where we see him today. [Music]
