Last week, Lisa Snowdon impressed This Morning viewers in a chic printed blouse in one of Kate Middleton’s favourite prints: check. The Princess of Wales is famously a fan of heritage-inspired prints, often stepping out in checked coats, dresses and blouses.
Lisa’s recent look nodded to that timeless British style while also tapping into one of autumn’s biggest fashion trends. Checks are having a major moment this season, seen everywhere from designer runways to the high street.
This is thanks in part to the rise of the ‘countrycore’ aesthetic and shows like The Traitors, and host Claudia Winkleman, bringing traditional prints and designs back into the spotlight.
What we love about Lisa’s check blouse is the mix between the traditional, heritage print, combined with the fashion-forward draped design. The exact top is the High Neck Ruched Detail Sleeveless Co-ord Top, priced at £30 from ASOS.

This ruched top does have a matching skirt, but unfortunately, the skirt is sold out in all sizes. With its Royal-inspired print and cool-girl vibe, it’s no surprise fans have rushed to snap it up.
The high neck, sleeveless top features a chocolate brown and blue check pattern, a colour combination we can’t get enough of this autumn.
Whether styling this for the office with a pair of tailored trousers and some suede loafers, or with a midi skirt and heels for an evening out, this is one of those versatile additions to your wardrobe that you’ll reach for again and again.
Another presenter who has been nailing the heritage check look recently is Amanda Holden. Amanda was spotted in the River Island Green Check Belted Cape Dress, priced at £69. This dress has already proved to be so popular that it’s currently sold out on the River Island website. However, we’ve found it in stock in all sizes on the Next website.
The khaki green printed mini dress features a sleeveless cape detail, handy pockets, and a horsebit belted detail reminiscent of popular Gucci styles. The perfect combination of polished and playful, this mini can be easily dressed up or down for autumn, depending on the occasion.
