The Royal Family, whether you like them or loathe them, is a British institution with a lot of influence. Whether they speak on politics, which they seldom do, save a few exceptions, or the environment, they have a lot of listeners.
Their names are also standout features. When Prince William and Princess Kate were expecting their three children, the country was eager to find out what monikers the King-and-Queen-in-waiting would bestow on their wee ones.
Similarly, Harry and Meghan’s Archie and Lilibet caused intrigue. Now, for those looking for some inspiration on what to call their new-born, new research has revealed the royal baby names most at risk of dying out in the UK.
Video game asset marketplace Chicks Gold compiled a list of key Royal Family members and used Office of National Statistics (ONS) data on UK baby names to discover the top ten least popular royal girl names in the country.
Al Alof, CEO of Chicks Gold, said: “Choosing a baby’s name is one of the most significant moments in the life of a parent, and it’s fascinating to see the influence that royalty has on names for girls.”
