Miranda Priestley just met Anna Winthur and we’re shaking in our Chanel boots with excitement. On Saturday, September 27th, Meryill Streep attended the Dolce and Gabbana spring summer 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week, or should we say Miranda Priestley as Merryill was fully in character while filming the Devil Wears Prada 2. Stanley Tucci or Runway Magazine art director Nigel Kipling was also in attendance. [Music] And before the show, Vogue’s former editor-inchief, Anna Winour, greeted the actors in a moment that’s sure to go down in fashion history. How are you? So beautiful. I can’t believe. I know. This is my first fashion. You’re kidding. My first The character of editorial fashion icon Miranda Priestley is famously inspired by Anna’s tenure at Vogue. And the book that the 2006 film is based on was written by one of Anna’s former assistants. Recently, the 75-year-old retired editor reflected on how she felt when the first movie premiered nearly 20 years ago. First of all, it was Merryill Street, which fantastic. Anna told the New Yorker Radio Hour podcast. And then I went to see the film, and I found it highly enjoyable. It was very funny. She goes on to say, “The fashion industry were sweetly concerned for me about the film, that it was going to paint me in some kind of difficult light, and in the end, I thought it was a fair shot.” The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated to premiere in May 2026, just days before Vogue’s annual Met Gala.
