Good on him for speaking up!! He didn’t want to be objectified and he worked with the writers to change the character.

Can you imagine suggesting such a poor thought out storyline to thee Blair Underwood and Kim Catrall. Absolute trash.

    3. That whole SATC storyline was insanely embarrassing.

Every time a POC shows up on the original show, it’s so they can be mocked and dehumanized (with the exception of the Miranda and Blair underwood storyline—but even that was kind of weird and awkward when she kept comparing her romantic relationship to an interracial tv drama she was watching and dumped him to go after the prince of a man that is skidmark steve)

Ajlt is similarly fetishizing of minority experience but in the opposite direction, in that each one is a wise, brave mentor

It’s so clear that the showrunners and writers have very few intimate or authentic relationships with POC

Wow I clearly still have a lot of feelings about this show

Damn, when exactly does he intend to start aging???
I swear he hasn’t aged a day in the past few decades!

    5. Good for him. Demanding not to be objectified and then getting a real character to portrait must have been satisfying indeed.

      Sincerely
