Ana de Armas needs “space” from Tom Cruise, a source tells Globe.
The Knives Out actress, 37, hasn’t been spotted with the Mission: Impossible star, 63, since July, and she’s “been having the time of her life” without him, says the source.
De Armas shared photos on Instagram that were taken from her trip to Puerto Rico and a Bad Bunny concert on Tuesday, September 2. She was also seen working out alone in L.A. in late September, before heading to Paris for Fashion Week.
“It’s clear she’s enjoying her independence,” the source continues. “Not having Tom around micromanaging everything has got to feel very freeing.”
“Her friends have all noticed how happy she looks lately, and so has Tom,” adds the source, adding that her behavior is “testing his patience.”

As Globe previously reported, Cruise — who was first linked to de Armas, 37, in February — “moves fast” and was already making plans for the future.
However, “he’s been dragging his feet about proposing,” reveals the source, adding that the A-lister is concerned that she isn’t fully committed to the relationship.
“Tom’s still crazy about her, but there’s a sense she’s slipping through her fingers,” adds the source, noting that Deep, the movie they were planning on starring in together, has also been put on hold. “People are predicting that this could be the end for them.”
