Kate Middleton is known for her subtle hints, like a key movement with her handbag during the Trump state visit in the UK that signaled some potential discomfort. However, one thing that has been rumored about her for years, which also potentially signaled discomfort, is finally being put to rest.
On her wedding day to Prince William in April 2011, Middleton instantly became a wedding style icon. Her long-sleeved lace gown instantly became a pinnacle for bridal fashion, and her choices for her hair and makeup were also largely praised.
And though she has since become victim to cruel backlash over some of her fashion choices– which recently forced her to die her hair back to brunette after some blonde additions didn’t sit well– her makeup has never been ridiculed.
In fact, when it came to her look on her wedding day, there has always been some mystery involved with it, as many believed over the last 14 years that she opted to do it herself before she walked down the aisle.
However, in a new interview, makeup mogul Bobbi Brown is clearing the air and officially putting the rumors to rest.
During an episode of the Breaking Beauty podcast, where she promoted her new book, Still Bobbi, Brown admitted that Middleton did use products from her collection for her big day.
However, neither she nor Brown applied them to her face. One of Brown’s other artists was the one who had the honor.
“I didn’t do her makeup,” Brown, 68, said. “I wish I did.”
“It was one of my artists, Hannah Martin, who’s become quite a sensation in the U.K,” she added.
Markle’s makeup was known to have been applied by her longtime friend, Daniel Martin.
She has since done a reveal of the exact products used in a Wedding Edit page on her ShopMy website.
The page showcased 10 different products from Dior, Tatcha and MAC.
