Took me 10 years to watch Jennifer’s Body for the same reasons- evangelical Christianity is a hell of a drug

The headline is misleading, Josh never said it was demonic. The interviewer did

Doubly confusing given that she *is* on the movie soundtrack for Jennifer’s Body – maybe it was Paramore that couldn’t do it but Teenagers by Hayley Williams is on the soundtrack!

Her song is still featured on the soundtrack, but it’s hidden in the background of the movie. Considering the experience they had with Twilight, this is just plain bad business on his part. Paramore stepped up another level after Decode was featured in the end credits, but they have a second song in the background of the prom dress scene that was overlooked by the majority for a long time. Imagine how different their trajectory would have been without Decode? They really dodged a bullet when he bailed.

Haha I remember when Christian rock was having a moment- paramore and flyleaf were on all my illegally burned CDs because I liked to hear women sing and I could be “rebellious” by listening to rock music while also not being unchristian. Good times.

Her song Teenagers was on the soundtrack though so at least she was still a part of the film.

If the sequel they’re talking about ends up happening, would be cool if they got another shot at it!
