Sophia Vagara is making a rare comment about co-parenting with ex Joe Gonzalez. The Modern Family alum shares a look into her bond with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez who shares son Manolo Vagara together and how they’ve remained close over the years. Sophia tells US Weekly in an interview published on October 1st. He was my high school sweetheart. We got divorced, but we were always good friends. He lived in Colombia, so it was difficult for him to see Manolo a lot, but he’d make the effort and they’d see each other at least once or twice a year. The actress continues, “He’s always been there, and he has a great relationship with Manolo.” The duo tied the knot in 1991, but called it quits 2 years later. Shortly after their split, she and her son relocated to Miami to focus on her acting career. Manolo says in the joint interview that despite the distance between his parents, his relationship with his father Joe remained strong. We’re totally cool. We don’t see each other as often because of the distance, but we do what we can. [Music]
