Prince William has paid tribute to the “extraordinary” Dame Jane Goodall in a personal message. The heir to the throne hailed “her boundless curiosity, compassion and pioneering spirit transformed our understanding of the natural world” following the environmentalist’s death aged 91, which was announced yesterday.
It comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued their own statement honouring Dame Goodall late yesterday evening.
William’s personal message was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official X account, and read: “The world has lost an extraordinary voice with the passing of Dame Jane Goodall. Her boundless curiosity, compassion and pioneering spirit transformed our understanding of the natural world. She challenged us all to make a difference and inspired me and countless others to work to protect our planet. Jane Goodall made a difference. W.”
