Another day, another lawsuit surrounding 2024’s It Ends With Us. The New York Times taking Justin Baldon’s production company to court over his thrown out defamation case. The director accusing the media institution, plus co-star Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, of bismerching his name amid her own allegations surrounding sexual harassment. But a judge tossed Baldon’s $400 million case back in June. Now, the Grey Lady months later hitting up is Wayfair Studios to cover its expenses, citing the anti-slap laws protection for news outlets for their First Amendment rights. In court duct, the publication seeks to recover costs, fees, and expenses incurred by the Times across Baldon’s suit with its legal team invoking the law’s own language and accusing Wayfairer of quote harassing, intimidating, punishing, or otherwise maliciously inhibiting the free exercise of speech. Baldoni’s toast going up against lively. Lively is represented by Endeavor and that is owned by Ari Emmanuel. The dude owns everything and has his paws in everything. He will get silenced like he is right now. I feel bad for the dude but they won’t let him win this one.
