An Alabama sheriff’s office has issued a tongue-in-cheek warning to Taylor Swift fans to keep their eyes on the road amid the frenzy of an imminent new album release.

“We know that a certain pop Star is releasing her new album tonight, and we hear it might be a ‘gliTter gel pen album’, meaning lots of fun energy,” began a Thursday-morning Facebook post from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

It continued: “With that in mind, pleAse remember while You’re celebrating this album release, that the ruleS of the road do still apply. While you’re scream-singing the lyrics, make sure to keep your eyes on the road, obey the speed limit, And use your turn signal. And please, if you’re going to text your Friends about the lyrics, make sure to pull over into a parking lot and comE to a complete stop first.”

The out-of-place capital letters aren’t some deep Easter egg for Swifties, they just reinforce the core message to “stay safe.”

Swift’s album “The Life of a Showgirl” is due for release at midnight Thursday Eastern Time. The sheriff’s office suggested that its personnel may not be immune from the excitement around a new set of Swift songs.

The post concluded: “P.S. – If you see your favorite deputy doing a little car-karaoke tomorrow, just remember, they’re only human and Taylor Swift’s lyrics are really catchy.”
