Elaine Hendrix on Her Love of Meredith Blake
When we first filmed The Parent Trap, I said from day one, Meredith Blake was not the villain. Of course, that’s me speaking as an actress defending my character. But all I had to do was wait for a few years and the millennials came around and scooped that idea up and made it a trend. And I’m so grateful because I’m madly in love with that movie, with that character, and I just love that she continues to have such long legs through the generations. There’s nothing villainous about knowing what you want. Listen, she just wanted the Zattian to get her bag. What’s wrong with that? Nothing.
