I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past. Prince William makes a rare comment about brother Prince Harry while discussing his future plans as king. In a new episode of Eugene Lovey’s Apple TV Plus series, The Reluctant Traveler, the Prince of Wales speaks candidly about his childhood and his royal destiny. During the chat, William details how he hopes to put the monarchy on a new trajectory and name drops his brother in the process. I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past that, you know, Harry and I had to grow up in and I will do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation. It sounds like the monarchy will be shifting in a slightly different direction. I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda, change for good, and I embrace that and I enjoy that change. I don’t fear it. That’s the bit that excites me is the the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think need to happen. William and Harry have been estranged for some time. And during Prince Harry’s recent trip to the UK to visit his father, King Charles III, many wondered if the royal siblings would mend fences. The reunion was Harry and the king’s first in-person visit in 19 months, with the Duke of Sussex saying afterward that his father was doing great. The Behind Closed Doors meeting did mark a promising step in the thawing of relations that Harry, who recently turned 41, has long desired. He told the BBC in May, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious.” Whether Prince William is also hoping to reconcile remains to be seen. By all accounts, the younger sibling left Britain without seeing his brother. [Music]

I feel that Prince William briefly mentioned Prince Harry respectfully, and as a therapist, l feel that Prince Williams words recognized how difficult childhood was for him and his brother both, in a very supportive way William was understanding towards his brother. It’s disgusting how the public finds joy and pitting brothers against each other. A house divided will never stand. I hope William and Harry find the inner strength to defy the public and come together as siblings and as family in the short time, they both have on this earth. I think people forget and judge harry as if he's never been this way, I remember when I was younger it was always know harry was always different. partying, being more outspoken, not following the line. and people are judging him like he's saying it all all of a sudden? I don't judge him. I think as someone who sees an institution that actually killed his mom he is more enlightened and wants to change the path for his wife. people are so judgy and think William is the best. they are both brothers doing the best they can and learning from their parents in their own way.
It's time for Diana's sons to mend their relationship. The both of them are the People's Princess's greatest legacy. Reconciliation "needs to happen."
