Jay Cutler Reports to Jail for DUI Sentence | E! News

Jay Cutler has began his time behind bars. The former quarterback for the Chicago Bears reported to William County Jail in Franklin, Tennessee for his 4-day sentencing after pleading guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI following his October 2024 arrest. In addition to serving time, the 42-year-old, who shares kids Camden, Jackson, and Sailor with ex Christristen Cavaleri, will serve one year of supervised probation as well as attend a DUI safety class and pay a $350 fine. Jay was arrested on October 17th, 2024 after a minor traffic collision. According to police, upon arriving at the scene, officers were told by one of the drivers that the former NFL player rearended him before allegedly offering the driver money and attempting to flee the scene. A release from the Franklin Police Department stated, according to NBC 5 Chicago, during their conversation with Cutler, officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Cutler was also slurring his words and had bloodshot eyes. Cuddler refused field sobriety tests and was taken to a local hospital where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant. Jay also told officers per an affidavit obtained by EN at the time that he hadn’t consumed any alcohol before later admitting he quote had a little bit. Jay ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI. He also faced charges of failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision and implied consent per NBC 5 Chicago citing authorities as well as possession of a handgun while under the influence after officers found a loaded gun and rifle in his car. However, the charge was ultimately dropped after he forfeited the weapon. [Music]
