The dad of 18 acknowledges why in the October 5th episode of the TLC show, but places blame on everyone but himself. I think most the relationships between me and my adult children are strained. It’s an issue of trash talk and innuendo, and it has challenged loyalties and trust on all sides. The admission came as McKelty, one of Cody’s six kids with third wife Christine Brown, was preparing to move from Utah to North Carolina with her family. Lamenting that she’d asked her dad and his sole remaining wife, Robin Brown, to make the drive from Arizona to Utah before they left, he never showed, citing competing busy schedules. Even though McKelty had been the most outwardly supportive of her father, say for his five kids with Robin, her mom revealed that their close ties had begun to unravel. And McKelie and Tony were just sad that they weren’t able to see Cody, Robin, and the kids before they moved. The whole thing’s just been sad. Her the relationship with them is just not what Kelsey hoped it would be. And it doesn’t appear it’ll be fixed anytime soon. Well, I tried so hard to get the whole family back together again. She really wanted to. I think this is probably something that’s one of the hardest things that this family is going to have to go through. At the end of this all, we are still a family. It's not the children's fault, it's Kody and Sobyn's fault. I wish they would cancel the show already. Kody is such a narcissistic jerk. Sobyn isn't much better
All Narcs have strained relationships with their children. He dragged his children out of their safe homes in Las Vegas took their mothers money to buy barron land and a big mansion for Robyn, then locked himself away from his kids during Covid and couldn't even turn up for his daughter's serious back surgery in NYC, but could drive far for a friend's wedding.
