I’ve seen a lot of criticism of this movie as a Hollywood cash grab, but the big names you see attached as executive producers are people who signed on after the film was made and before its premiere at Venice to give the film a higher profile. Kaouther Ben Hania, the Tunisian filmmaker who directed this movie, made this movie with the support and collaboration of Hind Rajab’s family.
