I am floored. I am shocked. I am I’m sad. You know, it it feels to me we’ve just, you know, gone through the Karen Huger of it all. Karen just came home. Um Karen paid her debt to society, but one might opine that, you know, perhaps Karen was um was was made an example of. And I am now, as I’m literally just getting this news with you all, that’s my first thought is $300 and we’re we’re we’re arresting a mother and a father. Um, business owners, entrepreneurs. Real Housewives of PTOAC star Wendy Ofo and her husband Edward Eddie Oso were arrested for fraud. Page 6 can confirm. The Carol County Sheriff’s Office in Westminster, Maryland tells Page 6 that the married couple was taken into custody Thursday. However, they are in the process of being released after placing a $50,000 bond each. Wendy is accused of insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and false statement to a police officer. The charges stem from a burglary the couple reported in April, which allegedly occurred while they were on a family vacation to Jamaica. At the time, Wendy reported that several designer bags and jewelry had been stolen. However, per documents obtained by US Weekly, authorities noted that the Osphos activated the ADT alarm system upon leaving for vacation. During the time that they were away, there was no motion detected inside the residence. The documents state that Eddie went on to give statements to two insurance companies regarding a list of stolen items. Eddie and Wendy both signed statements claiming $2,500 for the building and $450,000 in property. In his original claim, the attorney stated that they were wearing their anniversary bands when the loss occurred. However, he later updated their claim because his wife’s gold Nybin anniversary band was already missing. That same day, the claim was settled for $25,380, which included the replacement price of the band, $4,500. After growing suspicious of their reports and conducting an investigation, Carol County Sheriff’s deputies discovered Wendy was seen on social media allegedly wearing the ring and discovered the couple was burdened by substantial debt. Their investigation determined that numerous items already stolen had been purchased before being returned to the store, where a full refund was provided prior to the alleged burglary.
