ER’s Alex Kingston Suffered a Hemorrhage Before Cancer Diagnosis | E! News

Alex Kingston sharing her devastating diagnosis with fans for the first time. Inside the Independent October 10th interview, the actress revealing she was diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2024 after years of experiencing multiple unexplained symptoms like bloating and aching pains, which Alex at the time tied to simply being in her 60s. quote, “I had assumed that the way I was feeling was old age, and I just sort of accepted it, but a lot of how I was feeling was to do with my illness.” Alex made to wait for answers to her medical mystery after a doctor’s exam, passing the time with a theater role, when yet another terrifying symptom emerged. That night on stage, I hemorrhaged. That was really shocking. I just knocked my knees together and prayed that it would soak everything up. When she learned lying ahead was a cancer journey, Alex admitted it was a shock because I have a very positive outlook on life in general. I never went down the cancer road in my head. Alex then facing a major surgery followed by radiation therapy with Alex circling back to her old self along the road to recovery. Despite having gone through all of that, to steal yourself, to go through all of the necessary procedures to get back into health, the minute I had the operation, I suddenly felt like myself again.
