Meghan Markle has her fans, but her critics are louder with one royal writer asking the Duchess to pick a personality and stick with it.

It appears Meghan’s recent trip to Paris has gotten under the skin of Jane Barr, who turned to Substack to share her grievances. According to Barr, one day Meghan is Betty Homemaker and the next she’s an unapproachable super celeb with the royal writer asking the former-actress-turned-royal to pick one personality and stick with it.

Barr turned to her royal watching Substack, From Berkshire to Buckingham, to share her thoughts on the matter.

Barr did a write-up on Meghan’s recent pop-up at Paris Fashion Week, in which the royal writer felt Meghan was “putting on an act” that she “is always shifting.”

Barr explained: “Sometimes she is the self-appointed People’s Princess; then she is the giggling, finding joy homemaker/founder; today she is the unapproachable, enigmatic super celeb at PFW…. pick a personality, Meghan.”

Meghan was in Paris on Saturday to support her fashion designer friend Pierpaolo Piccioli, who is now Creative Director at Balenciaga.

And while Barr was getting more Princess Diana vibes from Meghan during the Paris trip, the American-based royal will be in New York City at the end of the week, so possibly we will still get to see her Amal impersonation.

Harry and Meghan are being honoured as Humanatarians of the Year by Project Healthy Minds.

The Sussexes will pop up at the nonprofit’s annual gala on Thursday, where they will be the guest of honors, and will also be hosting three talks on Friday as part of the organisation’s all-day festival.

We’ve reached out to Project Healthy Minds to learn more about the decision-making that went into choosing Harry and Meghan as their Humanatarians of the Year, but we’ve yet to hear back.
