    1. This loss feels deeply personal. Of course, the others do as well, but this one will haunt me for a very long time. We failed him.

    2. I was so hoping he would survive when the initial reports were unsure what happened to him. Yet another absolutely devastating loss in this genocide.

    4. A man of such bravery. This genocide has had the highest amount of journalist deaths of any modern conflict. A total brutality.

      When the ceasefire announcement happened I immediately thought about him and how happy I was that he was alive to see it. This truly truly broke my heart. I didn’t think my heart could break this many times.

    6. I don’t know how anyone can look at this and still think Israel has some moral superiority.
