Bizarre but also not surprising
The GOP approach to legal jurisprudence:
First Amendment is subject to our interpretation (not an absolute right)
Second Amendment must be originally interpreted (is an absolute right)
They just keep finding ways to ignore the US constitution over and over, just like Germany did from 1933 until 1945.
