The View’s Sonny Hostin to Cheryl Hines: “Your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history. He has also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion, and I think it’s just a very dangerous thing.”

When I lived on the coast I lived next to a older gay couple.

They were long term HIV/AIDS survivors.

They had talked about going through the early days of HIV/AIDS with all the stigma, fear, and hatred.

They talked about having to take handfuls of pills at specific times throughout the day in just the hopes of staying alive a bit longer.

They talked about losing friends in some of the most frightening and horrific ways imaginable. A death that was slow and extremely painful. A way no one should go.

They also talked about the trauma that was experienced by those that survived and the families/friends associated.

Then in 1996 protease inhibitors hit the scene and the death rate massively dropped.

Then medication continued to improve and improve until they were taking just one pill a day and or a shot every month or so. This meant not just normal life expectancy but very little side effects.

It also meant that they would become “Undetectable” which meant they could not pass the virus on to anyone.

This is why medicine is so damn important!

Why we need people in leadership positions that have ACTUAL education and experience and passion for these developments!

      Not morons!

We are talking about an area that means a massive increase in affordability of life/quality of life but also life and death!

I can’t believe in 2025 this even needs to be stated….

    3. This is the kind of energy folks need to confront Cheryl Hines with on a regular basis, good on Sonny for this.

    4. HIGNFY referred to her as “The Marvelous Ms. Measles”, and I will never not think of her that way again.

Stand By Your Man was written before your husband rose to infamy Cheryl. You can stand far away from him. You don’t need to go down swinging for a bellend.

    6. The way I would never be able to calmly debate this woman whose husband is responsible for irrevocable harm and the destruction of our country’s public health infrastructure that will have lasting effects for decades.

“Studying”? I’d like her to define studying in this context because I think it’s probably the same as bros “doing their own research” and not studying in the way, you know, actually freaking scientists do.

I am fine with everything that happened today. If anything the women didn’t go hard enough on Cheryl’s politics. But I still think RFK is a punk for ostensibly making his wife do his dirty work and all should have never happened.

      But since it did.

I would have asked her about Olivia Nuzzi lmao

Fucking hell why is it we have to treat these fucking idiots who do nothing but lie to us with kid gloves and sensitivity while we get nothing of the sort in return.

It must be tortuous having to defend your moron of a husband all the time. I have no idea why she stayed with him, especially after he cheated on her publicly.

    11. these moments never work because talk show hosts are rarely smart and informed enough to do effective battle with idiocy, however convicted they may be. i cant watch them anymore

    12. Why platform this anti-science MAGA shill? She has nothing to offer but lies and bullshit and lies.
