Renée Zellweger is continuing to embrace her new bright red hair amid season five of Only Murders in the Building. The Bridget Jones actress sported the ‘do in a promo video for this week’s episode, titled “Cuckoo Chicks,” which chronicles a “ladies night” at the Arconia’s newly discovered basement casino. Zellweger’s co-star Selena Gomez then shared the clip via her own Instagram Stories.
“Take a seat, we’ll deal you in,” the caption read.

Zellweger was previously spotted with the surprise new hairstyle back in May while shooting season five of OMITB. The New in Town actress plays billionaire Camila White in the hit Hulu series. Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Dianne Wiest also made an appearance in the promo video, which shows the three women, plus Zellweger and Gomez, playing blackjack.
“When you get that collection of women at the table together, it feels like you are sitting in front of an acting Mount Rushmore,” OMITB co-creator John Hoffman told Deadline. “There’s history between everyone, but some of them hadn’t met before this. I will never forget hearing about Renée Zellweger meeting Dianne Wiest. Dianne told Renée, ‘I’ve always loved you so much,’ and Renée expressed that Wiest taught her how to play a vulnerable person on screen. It was a beautiful thing to witness.”
Hoffman added, “Meryl and Renée reunited after making a film together years earlier [One True Thing, 1998], as well as Renée and Logan Lerman, who played her son in [My One and Only, 2009]. The season felt like a reunion in many ways.”

Zellweger was announced as a new OMITB cast member this past spring. Last year, meanwhile, Gomez called season four “our most exciting season yet.” The “Calm Down” singer has starred in the show alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short since its premiere back in 2021.
“How it came together was so magical,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “Everyone had a blast. And people are in for a ride, you know. Taking us to L.A. and then doing all the other stuff is exciting.”
