Meghan Markle has supposedly copied Kate Middleton with her latest move.
It appears that Meghan may have been inspired by her sister-in-law and royal observers on social media aren’t impressed.

Meghan Markle accused of copying Kate Middleton during Washington trip
Following her trip to Washington DC, where the duchess spoke at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women summit, Meghan shared a clip compiling footage from her 24 hours in the city.
It was here that Meghan could be seen posing with pilots in the cockpit of a plane. The shot was most likely taken ahead of her plane ride home – given the sequence of the montage.
Meghan’s beaming video selfie comes just a few days after Princess Kate Middleton made a splash at RAF Coningsby.
There, Princess Kate was seen meeting people who worked at the base, as well as trying out a fighter pilot flight simulator.
Meghan’s Instagram post, which also showed her backstage ahead of the Fortune’s Most Powerful Women summit, where she was interviewed on stage, was reposted by observers on X (formerly Twitter) and a slew of users gave their verdict in the comment section.
Unfortunately for Meghan, some of their feedback wasn’t very positive. In fact, she was accused of copying Kate Middleton, just a day after being accused of copying Victoria Beckham.
“#AsEver Meghan Markle is full of #coincidence,” penned one alongside a side by side of Kate Middleton photographed in the RAF flight simulator and Meghan Markle posing in a cockpit.
“The day the Princess of Wales is crowned queen, Rachel [Meghan Markle] will probably make herself a paper crown, pop it on her head, and livestream her California coronation. At this point, she’s practically a cartoon villain, equal parts cringe and delusion,” fumed another.
“Anything to copy Catherine,” chimed in a third.

Meghan Markle slammed by social media users after Washington selfie
A fourth venomously penned: “She’s copying Princess Catherine again. I’ve never seen someone so obviously obsessed with another person like Meghan is about Princess Catherine. She’s psychotic. She is a nightmare sister-in-law.”
Another user pointed out that Meghan was wearing a similar jacket to the one Princess Kate wore in Northern Ireland yesterday. They said: “Coat just like the one Catherine wore yesterday, surprise, surprise. Copying someone again.”
Of course, Meghan Markle was busy at the Fortune’s Most Powerful Women summit yesterday, so it is pretty unlikely that she would be so tapped in to Kate’s fashion choices across the globe, in another time zone.
Amongst the backlash, there were also a string of positive comments praising Meghan’s recent ventures.
“Beautiful Duchess Meghan Markle-Sussex! Serve your haters with looks, beauty and happiness,” said one.
“She was amazing,” gushed another.
A third wrote following Harry and Meghan’s appearance in New York at the Project Healthy Minds annual gala: “Simply the best. Love you guys.”
“Radiant! Best couple ever,” commented a fourth.
The criticism of Meghan’s latest move comes after she opened up about how she protects her peace whilst navigating social media.
How the Duchess of Sussex ‘protects’ herself on social media
She said at the summit in Washington: “I have had a very complicated relationship with social media, as you can probably imagine.”
The duchess went on to explain why she has her comment section turned off.
“There are certain things that I have done, just for my own self preservation. But also that I’ve applied to the brand and for the people that are incredibly supportive.”
She continued: “By design, I also recognise that a lot of those people aren’t going to my page to see negativity, and so not just protecting myself or the people that work with me, but also the supporters. So I don’t have the comment section on.”
