Al Pacino Shares He Is “Shaken” by Ex Diane Keaton’s Death in Heartfelt Tribute
Al Paccino is honoring the memory of Diane Katon. Days after the Oscar-winning actress died following a battle with pneumonia at the age of 79, her Godfather co-star, with whom she also had an on-again off-again relationship with from 1974 to 1990, has penned a heartfelt homage to her. Pacino writes in his tribute shared by Deadline October 16th, “When I first heard the news, I was shaken. Diane was my partner, my friend, someone who brought me happiness. and on more than one occasion influenced the direction of my life. The 85-year-old notes that although they hadn’t been together in over 30 years, the memories remain vivid, and with her passing, they have returned with a force that is both painful and moving. Pacino goes on to praise Katon and how she lived without limits and everything she touched carried her unmistakable energy. He adds, “She was unstoppable, resilient, and above all, deeply human. I will always remember her. She could fly, and in my heart, she always will. 5 days after the beloved actress’s passing, a death certificate obtained by E-News October 16th confirmed the celeb had been battling primary bacterial pneumonia for days before her October 11th passing. The virus was listed as her immediate cause of death in the document, and no other significant contributing conditions were listed.
