      the documentary about this was WILD…there was a part where the ceo celebrated the submersible surviving under 3k pressure and one of the engineers said something like “just bc it didn’t explode in that moment doesn’t mean it wasn’t eventually going to…those cracking sounds are not a good sign” and then one of the captains that got FIRED for saying it wasn’t safe and he wouldn’t sign off on it and they said he was being “difficult”…and then told the accountant that they were gonna train her to be a captain and she was like “i’m an accountant???”

      To be fair I think James Cameron has been quite open about his thoughts on Oceangate anyway. 🤣
