After years of ignoring it I finally succumbed and gave Schitt$ Creek a go… OMFG it’s so good!!
Halfway through season 2 already and am conflicted as I can’t watch it fast enough but I don’t want it to end..
What show, movie etc were you late to the party so to speak and wish you were in on it at its peak?

    1. This is such a dickhead answer but the pre and early Hay’s code films (1930-1934). It’s such thinly veiled horniness and I just eat it up. Baby Face, It Happened One Night, Design for Living, etc etc.

      Billy Wilder movies, too.

I was very late to the Twin Peaks party but I only like the first ten episodes so I feel like it doesn’t count.

    2. This happens to me all the time — largely because I am too snobby to watch broadcast TV anymore. Right now it’s The Rookie but I am constantly behind the curve on pop culture. And I like it that way.

The Newsroom. Holy shit that show is so good. It’s kind of hard though because it is from 2012ish and so much of the stuff it warned against is happening and it makes me mad.

I came to House really late, and we started The Rookie (love love love) when it was in season 5 or so. Lol I love having a few seasons of backstop when something is still going… We’re caught up now and have to wait for the next season.

    4. Drop Dead Goregous. I feel shame I finally watched it for the first time only this year. Perfect film

    5. I watched the Gilded Age and thought “I need some more of this shit” so now I’m watching all of Downton Abbey. At least my friend went down the same path so there are two of us!

    6. We finally started Andor just after Season 2 was completely released and it’s our favorite show maybe ever

    7. Slow horses. Manged to watch the earlier series by the time the current one started and now hate that I’ve got to wait a week for each episode.

    8. I’m old but I got into Sliders from watching re-runs after school nearly a decade after it first aired. The first couple seasons are great but the latter half of the show with Jerry O’Connell’s brother are got garbage. Stick with seasons 1+2, maybe the first half of season 3, bugger to the rest of it.

    9. Taskmaster.

Didn’t start watching until series 9, then had to go back and watch every previous episode.

I’m very late to the game with Alfred Hitchcock movies, but watched Rear Window a while back and I was hooked, so now I’m planning to watch through his entire filmography

I’m also watching through Malcolm in the Middle for the first time and the show is so funny, I’m loving it so far!

    11. I’ve gone so deep down the *Beauty and the Geek* rabbit hole that I ended up writing 2 different write-ups about it on r/HobbyDrama. I am also considering doing a write-up on the male beauty/female geek twist but I don’t know if that would make a good write-up.

    12. A taxi driver told me to get into Schitts creek. I’ll never forget that day, I was going home after spending the night with a long time dude friend and he was in lockdown all day because a methed out dude in the adjoining apartment complex was having a stand off with police and holding someone at machete point.

Oh those were the days (5 years ago)

    13. IT Crowd, anyone? I was three years late to it in 2009, but it’s still getting replayed 16 years later.
