Selena Gomez seems to be coming to Haley Bieber’s defense. After the Pro Beauty founder made comments about quote not being inspired by other beauty brands, which fans thought was a disc to the singer’s company Rare Beauty, Selena takes to social media to put an end to the online chatter. As she writes in a since deleted Instagram story October 17th, just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s just about relevance, not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There is room for everyone and hopefully we can all stop. The online chatter started after WSJ magazine published their interview with Haley who was married to Selena’s ex Justin Bieber on October 14th where she talked about the success of her beauty brand. During the interview, Haley was asked about the chatter of a rivalry between her and Selena’s brand. The Wall Street Journal noted she opted to skip the question. However, later in the interview, the model did address competition, saying, “It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that. When people want to see you a certain way, and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that.” Of course, in 2022, Haley and Selena came together to shut down speculation of an alleged feud by posing together at an LA event. And it seems that the 28-year-old is using the crowded beauty space as inspiration for her entrepreneurial spirit, adding, “I think there is space for everybody.
