Julia Roberts Reveals How She’s Unlike Her ‘After the Hunt’ Character

Uh, Julia, you said that your your personality is actually more henlike and not so much like this character. Uh, what do you mean by that henlike? I just like to scoop everybody up in my arms and thoughts and orbit and to be close in a puppy pile and all that. And and Alma is none of those things. She’s very um distant and she, you know, I think she likes to have a perspective from an arms length of someone or something. And day day two of um rehearsals in Julia’s um house where she welcomed us in with her family and banana bread and anything we wanted cooked. Um I fell asleep on her chair and her cat fell asleep on my head and her dog fell asleep on my feet. And it’s it’s a kind of comfort and love and joy feeling that you can only really get from a like a really close family member that you really trust and you feel safe with. So that’s yeah I mean that’s like the perfect story for me in terms of what she does to a room, what she does to a space, what she does to the people in the space. Like a warm cup of tea.
